BJP 2011 Registration

This collage represents the first and only six pieces that I've made for 2010. Please ignore the April date under the header on the collage. Picasa entered it and I can't figure out how to either edit or get rid of it completely. Grrrrrr.....

The registration for the 2011 Bead Journal Project started on November 8th. I believe that it stays open for one month. If you're interested in learning more , please check out the detail in this blog post. While you're there, wander about and check out some of the work. If you're not moved, you're a stronger person than I am! I've just signed up again, despite the fact that I stalled at June. Don't worry, I will finish the other six, but life happened and it won't be in 2010. I'm already getting excited about my new plans for 2011! Is anybody going to join me? I promise that you'll have fun!! BTW, you don't need to be as obsessive as I am about bead embroidery. It only needs one bead!!

Beautiful work as usual. I've signed up for next year. I have a few ideas germinating in my brain...and hope to start over the winter break in an attempt to stay on top of each month.

I'm in for the new year two. A stronger commitment from me this time. Less beads and more art.

sorry no, not me this time. I'll still work with beads but no BJP monthly commitments, i'm too obsessive about trying to stay on target. thanks for reminding us tho, k.

I love all six and can't wait 'til the next six join them. I especially like the extra embellishments like the spoon and the piece of driftwood. At this point I can only admire but you do give me inspiration to try my hand at beading!

Sara & Carol, Thanks and I'm glad that you're re-joining. It's going to be a different year, but a great one just the same.

Kaite, I'm not surprised with all the eco-dying that has taken over your life. No time to concentrate on beadwork.

Faerwillow, I'm blushing with all the compliments. I'm still quite enthralled with this project, even though I'm behind. This is only my second year at this type of beadwork. I had very little experience with this technique before I started on my first bead journals.

Bonnie, Thanks as well! I have a good chuckle, figuring out which non-traditional articles I'm going to include in the pieces. BTW, the "driftwood", is actually part of a stick I found at the edge of a lake in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, last summer. My sister called them "beaver sticks", because the bark had been chewed off by the little chompers. I just couldn't resist packing a bunch of them into my trunk. Beads are fun, so don't be afraid to pick some up and start playing.
