doodle the third

Another bead doodle completed! The base wasn't my favourite, because I thought that it ended up too dull and pale. I guess that it's a good illustration of turning a "sows ear" into a "silk purse"!! It's amazing what perserverence, floss and a few sparkly bits will do!!! Needless to say, it's grown on me and now I think that she looks particularly lush and regal. I'm not sure what my real motivation was during the creation process. Delusions of grandeur, perhaps?

The photos were taken at different times in the day, so the colour is off a little in the final shots. Please excuse!!

I just had to show you the "tushie" shot!!! She blushed a little when I took this one....

The flower sequins are vintage and can be purchased at my favourite bead store, BeadFx. The square button is also vintage, but don't ask me where I picked it up. It's been in the stash for years!!!

I 'vant to be alone!!! --- the doodle was definitely getting tired of having her picture taken and was throwing a very quiet hissy fit!! I thought it best to put the camera away........

you said regal but i think more of a Princess. i can really see the doodle style here, you just let the brain go into alpha and the fingers do the poetry.
i think she's my favourite of all three and worth waiting for.

Funny that you didn't like her 'naked'. She's my favourite one that you've done! I think she's just gorgeous.

That's some doodle, AM! A wintry 'Princess' as Kaite calls her.
And not a worm in sight!

Kaite, Linda & Penny, thanks! I guess that "princess she will be". Tell me, is it all the pink?

Kaite, you're right about the doodle. I did let instinct take over. I actually thought she was finished, but then added more to the bottom, just before I took the photos. I think it's more fun this way!

Linda, the form was actually languishing in a drawer, far away from the others (banished, perhaps?). I only uncovered her nekkid self when I was gettin ready for Penny's class last month.

Penny, this princess definitely avoids worms. BTW, I like the "wintery" handle as I hadn't really thought of her that way. Perhaps I need to build her a throne?

Amazing! Looks like something you would find in some underwater environment filled with tiny fairy mermaids being pulled in miniscule chariots by tuxedo-clad seahorses. Now how's THAT for a visual!!!

what an opinionated little miss your latest doodle is. she's great! I'm glad you're keeping your hand in something creative. is work slowing down for you?

Thanks, Margaret! I'm happy that you came to visit and that you like my little doodle. I'll check out your blog on the weekend, when I have a little time.

MA, Ooooh! You do have a fertile imagination!!! You put so much magic in the description, that I'm almost afraid to tell you that her personality didn't come out until I took her picture. "tuxedo-clad seahorses" - now THAT'S a story that needs to be told!

Rachel, Yes, she is opinionated, but somehow, those are the ones I love the most!! Work is still busy, but I just HAD to start something creative!!! I'm sure that you know what I mean. Besides, the doodles are telling their stories in front of the TV, so they're easy to start and stop!

Nana, thanks for visiting and your lovely and kind words. I wish I had more time to create, but somehow, I always manage to squeeze a little something out.
