bracelets and bowls

Well, apparently Blogger is acting up so I can't type anything either right at the top or between the photos.  Sigh!

I simply love my new red bowl!!!!  I used the same construction method as the earlier ones, but just used a larger balloon, added some thread waste and a little more acrylic paint.  Light red interference paint on the inside and  (Golden) and Art Anthology, Sorbet - Dimensional Gel Paint in "Big Dip O' Ruby" on the outside.  I also highlighted the inside with a little of the gel paint.  I think it added dimension!

Now on to my bracelets!  The idea is thanks to the components available at www.beadfx.com. I started out making two bracelets as gifts (no photos of those ones) and liked them so much, I went back the next day for more components.  My pocketbook said ouch! Of course, that wasn't the last trip, but I think I'm basically done for now.

Much more to share, but I think that I'll save it for when Blogger is being a little more co-operative.

Sorry, Beth!  No dominos to share today.....I will certainly get back to them later, but just not now.  LOL!

The biggest problems on Blogger are with the new updates with Google Plus. Don't go there. It is a mess. Your bowls are wonderful and I never heard of some of these paints.

It was just a guess. Just not a good guess. Your bowls do look like fun!

I haven't switched unless Google did it on it's own. It was working fine last weekend. It may just be a temporary Google glitch. Thanks again about the bowls. They want to evolve further, so I'll be getting more and more experimental as I have time. The interference paints aren't new so if you can get the Golden fluid acrylics, you should be able to find the interference paints. As for the gel, it's a scrapbooking product from a U.S. company. An impulse purchase on my part, but fairly sheer so suits my needs for the bowls.

Beth, it was an educated guess. The bowls are a lot of fun to play with, but will get a little more serious in the near future.

Thanks to both Beth and Judy for your comments.

Your red bowl is beautiful, reminds me of a very delicate shell. The colour is so inviting.
I love your bracelets, and mine especially. Such a fabulous idea, very wearable. It's good to see the whole group, they're lovely together.

Ethereal - that's the word that came to mind when I saw your latest bowl. Absolutely lovely, and a piece of art.

Thanks, Kaite and MA!

Kaite, I agree, the colour on this one just glows!! Thanks about the bracelets as well. I like them so much that I'm currently storing them in an open bowl on my dresser. Also, as you know, they're very, very comfortable to wear.

MA, this bowl just might be my favourite. But then again, the newest one always seems to be my favourite. Who knows what my next favourite will look like.

Hey Anne Marie,

Wow! How beautiful your work is! Would you mind sharing, specifically, what components make up the bracelets? I went to the website and found the flat leather with the magnetic clasp but couldn't find the rest.

Thanks for sharing all your talents with us.

Maggie, thanks and sorry dor taking so long to reply. Go to the BeadFX website and click on "Supplies". Then put Regaliz in the search section on the upper right hand side. All the available components should show up. I purchased mine in the store but I spotted most of the components for the fat bracelets. Not the flat leather ones though, so perhaps they're only available at the store. Good luck snd don't forget to buy the glue.
